This course aims to strengthen the dissemination and implementation of the public health approach and respect for human rights, in addressing the problems related to the consumption of alcohol and other psychoactive substances, highlighting the importance of primary care in reducing the impact of these problems in the population.
The course, which lasts six months, is aimed at health professionals from the countries participating in COPOLAD, with management and technical and political decision-making responsibilities, concerning socio-health care of alcohol and other psychoactive substances problems (regional directors of health, directors of health facilities, technicians in public policies on health, among others).

2.5 - Expand the sustainable capacity-building approach initiated in C1, by broadening its coverage, as well as the number of subjects addressed.
2.6 - Maintain a project-supported initiative, which ensures the availability of planning and evaluation tools, in a way that becomes self-sustaining beyond the duration of the programme.
Expanded the sustainable capacity building approach initiated in COPOLAD I, by: a) reviewed and up-dated 2 courses developed in COPOLAD I; b) developed 2 new on-line courses; c) enlarged coverage, at least by 50% (from baseline situation achieved in COPOLAD I), through the implementation of both, international and national editions of each course
