Abstract

It contains 16 scales relating to specific diagnostic categories of alcohol. It contains the following areas: social benefits of use , mental benefits of use, gregarious use style, obsessive-compulsive behavior, feelings of guilt and worry, use of other drugs (barbiturates, stimulants, marijuana), seeking social support to quit use, loss of control, social maladjustment, daily use, daily amount, mental problems, marital conflicts, psico-perceptual abstinence psychophysical abstinence .

Psychometric characteristics

The instrument provides information related to symptoms, benefits, behaviors and styles of alcohol use, the items also evaluate withdrawal symptoms, loss of control and six scales measuring broad dimensions of alcohol use styles and alcoholic deterioration. It counts on test-retest reliability and internal consistency. And criterion , content and construct validity.
