La U.D.A. fue construida como una iniciativa de la comunidad para ayudar a la disminución del consumo de alcohol y drogas en la zona sur y apoyados por las autoridades en ese momento del hospital y algunas instituciones de proyección social como Foprideh. En la actualidad auspiciado por el IHADFA en su parte técnica.
