- The Detoxification clinic (Detox) is part of the Psychiatric Center Suriname (PCS). In the Detoxification clinic, adults who are addicted to alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, medicines, opiates, or a combination of these drugs are detoxified in a medically responsible manner. The Detoxification Clinic has been specially established to provide professional treatment to men and women with an addiction problem. Double diagnosis patients (addiction and other psychiatric disorders) can treated.

- In the detox men and women with substance dependence diagnosis, medicines, drugs or a combination of these substances are detoxified and treated in a medically responsible manner. Care is provided for a maximum of 6 weeks . The treatment is is protocol based and the approach is multidisciplinary and the main focus is the well being of the patient. care provision is offered

- The provided services is open for everyone with a health insurance. All citizens and foreigners are mandated by law to have health insurance . Everyone from all the 10 districts can opt for this service if they have health coverage. Most of the services are easily accessible in the Capital Paramaribo, district Nickerie and through the medical posts in the interior.
