Institutional presentation
La SECCATID es una intitución adscrita a la Vicepresidencia de la República cuya misión es coordinar la ejecución de políticas, programas y proyectos nacionales en materia de investigación, prevención, tratamiento y rehabilitación de las adicciones, incluyendo la prevención del tráfico de drogas. Mediante estas acciones se busca el desarrollo integral de la persona con esta problemática y por ende a una Guatemala libre de drogas.

Objective of the centre/ services
Brindar ayuda profesionala a las personas drogodependientes incluyendo a la familia, logrando con ello la abstinencia y la sobriedad a través de la modificación conductual y cognitiva.
National coverage
Específicamente en la ciudad capital y municipios cercanos, pero tambien nos visitan personas del interior de la república para tratamiento. Pero en el área de Prevención se trata de llegar a las comunidades de todo el país.

Description of the main activities
Tratamiento: Terapia individual, grupal,ocupacional, familiar. Prevenciòn: En la Escuela, en la Comunidad, en el trabajo, en àreas de riesgo, todo ello en la capital y en el interior de la repùblica.
