- 1. Detectar y atender factores de riesgo asociados al consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en la comunidad. 2. Identificar en forma temprana a jóvenes que presentan indicadores de riesgo para el consumo abusivo de sustancias psicoactivas. 3. Intervenir tempranamente en los adolescentes con la finalidad de que no desarrollen un problema de abuso y/o dependencia. 4. Disminuir la incidencia en el consumo de alcohol, tabaco y otras drogas en adolescentes. 5. Disminuir la prevalencia del abuso y dependencia de sustancias psicoactivas a través de intervenciones costo-efectivas. 6. Brindar el apoyo necesario a las familias de usuarios con consumo experimental, abuso o dependencia.
