O CAPS Capistrano é um substitutivo a rede de saúde mental, responsável pela região do Maciço de Baturité, composta por oito municipios, totalizando uma estimativa de 135.000 habitantes. Funciona desde agosto/2001, tem uma equipe interdisciplinar composta por: Psicólogos, enfermeira,médica psiquiatra, clínico, educadora física, terapeuta ocupacional, assistente social e outros.

Prestar assistencia psicossocial à pessoas com transtornos mentais em geral incluindo usuários com problemas abusivos do alcool e outras drogas.Reduzir o numero de internações psiquiátricas.Trabalhar a reinserção psicossocial dos usuários assistidos no CAPS.
