- Una noche el Padre Gabriel Antonio Mejía sentado junto a su escritorio, trataba de dibujar algún símbolo que plasmara el proyecto que traía en la mente sobre todo en el corazón. Con alborozo sintió que su mano iba delineando, con extraña naturalidad, una llama luminosa y trepidante que irradiaba claridad y tibio calor. Experimentaba cómo aquel foco de luz se convertía en fuerza divina, capaz de derretir el corazón frío y avivar la llama que anida en el corazón de cada ser humano. Además, hoguera le sonaba fácil a Hogar. Fue así como se encendió el fuego amoroso de la Fundación Hogares Claret que aspira a mantenerse siempre encendido y acogedor. Así también surgió el logo que inspiradamente identifica la Misión de esta magna obra, pionera en reeducación en Colombia y América Latina. Desde sus inicios en el año de 1984 en la Fundación Hogares Claret se han visto niños de la calle, habitantes de la noche y adultos escurridizos, buscando la hoguera donde calentarse. Amigos, esto es Claret, un hogar, una hoguera, una luz, una esperanza. Hoy en Hogares Claret tenemos cerca de 600 empleados. Una gran fortaleza de Hogares Claret es su grupo de educadores, sacerdotes y profesionales. Una gran riqueza multidisciplinaria, humana y científica, auténticamente un grupo de servidores. Los voluntarios son una de las grandes riquezas de la Fundación. las ideas guía que cualifican nuestro voluntariado son el compartir
