• The first workshop is celebrated in Quito (Ecuador) on 9th and 10th May, and it is based on the South South Cooperation model among the countries with wide experience in Alternative Development and other interested countries. 
• The series will be completed with upcoming workshops in Paraguay and Mexico. 

The European Union organizes a side event on the COPOLAD Programme during the 60th Session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, which is convened in Vienna, during the week of 13th to 17th March, States, International Organizations and civil society to carry out a follow-up of the measures taken during the 12 months after the UNGASS.

• COPOLAD puts before the countries and organisations in Bogotá the need for a debate that could explore other ways for the economic development in those main countries where illicit crops are located. 
• The UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), a framework for the dialogue among countries.
