This research by the Colectivo de Estudios Drogas y Derecho (CEDD) analyzes the duality present in Latin America: the prohibitionist discourse, along with reforms to laws and policies related to cannabis use. The book addresses these issues, the result of two years of research by the CEDD-a group of researchers from 11 Latin American countries, the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) and the Transnational Institute (TNI). With a regional focus, the report examines how punitive drug laws affect cannabis users, growers and small-scale sellers.
The European Commission is preparing a third phase of this programme, therefore COPOLAD will be back at the beginning of 2021.
