Abstract

Measure the socialization styles of both parents from two dimensions: Acceptance / Implication and Consistency / Imposition that include the subscales: Affection, Indifference, Dialogue, Displicence, Verbal Coherence, Physical Coherence and Deprivation

Psychometric characteristics

The test-retest reliability shows temporal stability, as well as, the internal consistency for the different subscales exceeds the value of .80

It consists of 29 items, 16 representing negative situations and 13 in a positive sense on a Likert scale with four answer options ranging from 'never' (1) to 'always' (4)

The score results in a global measure for each parent in the dimensions of Acceptance / Implication and Consistency / Imposition. Thus, the scores obtained in each dimension determine the style of socialization of the father and the mother, being able to be: Authoritarian, Indulgent, Authoritarian or Negligent
