Description

Abstract
Instrument that assesses the expectations of drinking through six dimensions. The original version comprises 180 items. The adapted version in Mexico consists of 51 items in eight dimensions: group interaction, expressiveness, disinhibition, sexual, psychological stress, physical stress, aggression and feelings of power and psychophysiological changes.
Psychometric characteristics
The internal consistency coefficients for the AEQ subscales vary in a range of 0.72 to 0.92 (average 0.84) in adults with no problematic use (Brown, et. Al., 1987).
