Abstract

The original instrument comprises 78 items that measure the frequency of the tactics employed by both partners. The CTS2 includes the specific tactics used to manage conflict in a couple, from passive tactics, suchs as calm discussion, to physical attacks.

Psychometric characteristics

The instrument operationalizes this range of behaviors to deal with conflicts and includes five subscales: a) negotiation, b) psychological aggression, c) physical aggression, d) sexual coercion and e) injury.
