Description

Abstract

FRIDA measures seven factors through a total of 90 items to detect individuals or groups at risk in order to plan preventive interventions and evaluate the results of drug prevention programs

Psychometric characteristics

Reliability: Internal Consistency: Cronbach's α of .925

Validity: A factorial analysis was calculated where it was found that despite being a one-dimensional measure due to the high correlation between factors, a structure of nine differentiated factors was established

It is shown as a good predictor of consumption and type of consumption. The binary logistic regression and discriminant analysis analysis show percentages of between 70 and 90%, with OR ranging from 1.8 to 7.5

No. of items
The questionnaire consists of 90 items that are answered on a Likert-type scale
Duration
15-20 min
Way of administration
  • Individual and collective
  • Paper and computerized
Way of qualification

The items are answered on a Likert scale. The scale is not identical in all groups but varies according to the statement. The number of alternatives is also variable (between 3 and 5 alternatives), depending in turn on the group of items to which it is answered. This indicates the degree of vulnerability to drug use

Application context
School
Population
Adolescents between the ages of 12 and 16
