CEDIA evaluates interpersonal relationships in adolescence through 39 items distributed in five factors, these are, assertion, relationships with the other sex, relationships with peers, public speaking and family relationships in order to identify the origin and characteristics of these common problems and plan effective treatment programs
Reliability - Validity:
The range of the internal consistency coefficients obtained with the total scores ranges from .76 - .95
Cronbach's Alpha: .91.
The mean score of the items in the questionnaire corresponded to the value of the "little interpersonal difficulty" estimation scale, being the relationships with strangers and people of the other sex those with the highest level of difficulty. On the contrary, those referring to samples of gratitude and family relationships offered a lower level of difficulty, as well as, it was observed that the fear to speak in public increased considerably with age
The response categories range between 'no difficulty' (0) and 'maximum difficulty' (4), so that a higher score indicates a higher level of problems associated with the evaluation construct.
