Description

Abstract

SDQ is an assessment instrument designed to measure emotional, behavioral and prosocial difficulties through five factors (emotional, behavioral, peer-associated problems, hyperactivity and prosocial behavior) distributed in 25 items that are answered on a Liker-type scale.

Psychometric characteristics

It has adequate levels of internal consistency in the estimation of the reliability of the scores. However, the behavioral problems and peer problems subscale show levels below .70.

Test-retest reliability: significant values between .47 and .76.

Internal structure: better adjustment corresponding to five factors structure.

Evidence of concurrent validity in its version for parents and teachers, as well as, in relation to the capacity for discrimination.
