Abstract

EPP evaluates parental practices through nine dimensions differentiating between maternal influence (five factors) and paternal influence (four factors). To do this, 40 items are used that are graded on a Likert scale with four response options

Psychometric characteristics

In the original study, the internal consistency indices were the following for mother and father, respectively: Communication (9 items, α = .92); Autonomy (7 items, α = .86); Imposition (8 items, α = .81); Psychological control (8 items, α = .80); Behavioral control (7 items, α = .84); Communication / Behavioral control (16 items, α = .97); Autonomy (8 items, α = .94); Imposition (8 items, α = .90) and psychological control (8 items, α = .90), in turn, these scores were similar in the validation studies
